How does the Leica SL2 compare to Fuji GFX

I've been looking move into a new camera system and can't decide between Leica or Fuji. Is medium format that much better than full-frame that it would make sense going with the GFX system over Leica? I'm currently shooting with Nikon Z camera bodies. I've been impressed with every image I've ever seem coming from Leica, but I'm not sure if that's due to the lenses and not the camera body, or both. My other option would be to adapt a Leica lens to my Nikon and just stick with Nikon.
